[Report] ASUS ROG Phone and ZenFone 5Z Will Reach Malaysia Soon
When ASUS showed off its dedicated gaming smartphone – the ASUS ROG Phone – all turned their attention to the infamous evil eye again.
Figuratively, ASUS ROG fans’ and gamers’ jaw dropping to the ground simultaneously in a large “THUD”. This is what everyone is waiting for! Indeed, nothing can possibly top what the long-time games hardware brand pulled off.
And now we know that Malaysia (and the rest of Southeast Asia allegedly) will be able to use this mobile powerhouse soon. According to sources close to Kakuchopurei, the ASUS ROG Phone – truly representing the ASUS Republic of Gamers (ASUS ROG) – will reach this part of the world soon.
Specifically, sometime in August 2018.
Are ASUS ROG fans waiting in anticipation for this monstrously cool gamer-focused smartphone? Hell yes! The details ASUS ROG reveal at the recent COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2018 global reveal are what gamers have been waiting for. Here’s a recap:
While there are no pricing details, speculation places it in the same range as its competitors. Namely, the year-old Razer Phone and recently released Xiaomi Black Shark; at least within that range or slightly higher: SG$1,068/RM3,162 give or take.
ASUS fans are equally as hopeful for the upcoming ASUS ZenFone 5Z. This is another variant of the now available ASUS ZenFone 5, specifically a monstrously spec-up version.
It will take the fight to the ASUS ROG Phone, in basic functions at least, and will hold a candle against all rival flagships; gaming or otherwise. According to the same source, this premium take on the current flagship smartphone will be out in late July 2018.
It’s obvious that the devices will not hit the streets anytime before. We’re guessing there are, likely, engineering samples hidden in the ASUS branch offices around the region.
Stay tuned to Kakuchopurei as we try to find out and will dig up more updates concerning these two hotly-anticipated phones.
