Southeast Asia’s Mineski, Fnatic, TNC Knocked Out Of The Biggest Dota 2 Tournament Ever
This is truly a sad day for Southeast Asia in the competitive Dota 2 scene. The three main Southeast Asian Dota 2 esports representatives for The International 2018 (or TI8) are eliminated from the tournament.
We have to wish “GG” to Mineski, Fnatic, and TNC as they fought their damnest in the gruelling bouts against China, Europe, and many other countries for Dota 2 supremacy.
To recap, Mineski lost to Virtus.pro 0-2 in the second round of the lower bracket. But before that, Mineski ended up fighting TNC Pro Team and winning that particular group stage fight.
Fnatic in the meantime was surpassed by Team Serenity, who was said to be the dark horse and possible team to pull off upsets. They scored a 1-0 against the SEA team thanks to spot-on team fights and skirmishes.
At least they ended on a semi-adequate note. TNC Pro and Fnatic are at 13th to 16th place and walk home with US$125,000. Mineski secured 9th-12th spot with US$375,000. Better luck next time, guys!
