Fortnite Gets An Undo Purchase Button
By Alleef Ashaari|March 14, 2019|0 Comment
It’s been revealed that Fortnite will be getting a new ‘undo’ button soon. This was confirmed in by an Epic Games representative on a Reddit forum post, in reply to a question posed by a user.
User SpicyHabanero69 initially asked why the Japanese version of Fortnite had confirmation screens for gamers who wish to purchase in-game content, but not other versions of the popular battle royale game in other countries.
An engineer by the name of DanDaDaDanDan, who speaks on behalf of Epic Games, clarified in a reply that “we neither want to add friction for players nor do we want to benefit from accidental purchases or players regretting a purchase.” As such, he then revealed that the developer is going to introduce an ‘undo’ button to the Fortnite store page.
This ‘undo’ button will allow players to “easily refund without using up a token within a 5 minute time window”. However, this is assuming that they haven’t started a match since the purchase took place.
An ‘undo’ button would be a great quality-of-life feature addition to Fortnite, as it will serve as a solution for players who accidentally purchase in-game content on Fortnite, and by ‘accidentally’, I actually meant conscious impulse purchases. Just kidding.
As of now, it remains to be seen when exactly the ‘undo’ button will arrive in Fortnite. We’ll have to wait for a future update.
This is what the Fortnite purchase page looks like now.
