Razer Phone 2 Will Receive Android 9.0 Pie

As promised, the Razer Phone 2 will receive a major software update in the form of Android 9.0 dubbed Android Pie.

What Does The Update Bring?

The update includes a slew of features. These features include, but are not limited to:

  • Gesture-based navigation with Google Assistantâ„¢
  • Interactive app functionality and search
  • Battery life optimization
  • Privacy features including background app controls
  • Access to digital well-being
  • Video recording in 4k at 60fps.

The new update will enhance user experience with the Razer Phone 2 by operating more intuitively, more efficiently utilize its battery and significantly enhance the user experience for gaming and entertainment.

When Can We Get The Update?

The update will be delivered via over-the-air (OTA) update to all open market Razer Phone 2 units, starting from February 27, 2019 (US PST). The update will then start rolling out to all carrier phones in accordance with each specific carrier software build.
