Jazz Jackrabbit

Before Cliff Bleszinski assaulted our senses with Unreal Tournament, Gears of War, and his Overwatch killer, he co-created a PC Sonic The Hedgehog-like mascot for Epic Games called Jazz Jackrabbit back in 1994. He ran fast and brandished weapons of different sizes to fight off the turtle/demon horde because it’s the logical way to allude to the tortoise vs hare story with a ton of 90s tropes.

The game spawned a Christmas add-on, a sequel, and a Game Boy Advance reboot that should be taken out to the shed and shot. Truth be told, parts 1 and 2 are a blast to play if you wanted a PC game that plays like Sonic but with Turrican-esque gunning mechanics and controls. Oh and that soundtrack kicks mega-ass.
