[Report] The Next Tales Game Is Tales of Arise

And the leaks keep on coming, courtesy of Bandai Namco’s recent security flaw (via ResetEra). First, it was that George R.R. Martin/From Software collaboration, and now a new Tales of game slated for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The new title, called Tales of Arise, is set in the planets of Rena and Dahna, with the former pillaging the latter and essentially enslaving it. The game’s story is about two heroes (most likely the two warriors fighting in the screenshot below) who are born in different planets and team up to set things right.

The game will feature:

  • HD graphics powered by Unreal Engine 4 and key scenes animated by Ufotable.
  • A new dynamic action RPG combat system, since the series is renowned for its real-time action-heavy combat.

I’ll have to say: this looks pretty gorgeous so far, even with a potentially-emo hero that makes everything feel standard. Guess we’ll find out more at E3 2019, most likely at Xbox’s press conference on 10 June, 4am, this coming Monday. In the meantime, enjoy these other screenshots.
