Here’s How You Can Represent Malaysia At The 2019 Overwatch World Cup

Malaysia is set to be one of many countries to take part in the upcoming 2019 Overwatch World Cup. We’re sure many Malaysian Overwatch players are bursting with the ‘Malaysia Boleh’ spirit to represent their country in the event, but have no idea how to even proceed. Well, here’s how you can answer the call to action, fellow Malaysians!

The selection process for Team Malaysia at the 2019 Overwatch World Cup is now open. Here are the criteria and requirements needed to be eligible for selection:

  • Must be a Malaysian citizen.
  • Must have a minimum Skill Rating (SR) of 3500.
  • Must have achieved the rank of Masters for at least 3 seasons.
  • Must submit a POV: 720p 30fps video.
  • Must be above 18 years of age before 1 November 2019
  • Must play on PC (not PS4 or Xbox One)

If you fit all of the above criteria, you can register by heading on over to this link, where you will have to fill out an application form. Questions include the role you want to fill in Team Malaysia, your hero pool and more.

Phase 3 of the Overwatch World Cup 2019 program is now commencing, which means anyone interested in representing Malaysia should register as fast as possible. We only have from now until 14 July 2019 for player selection, before submitting them to the folks at Blizzard.

The 2019 Overwatch World Cup will take place at Blizzcon 2019, which is scheduled to take place at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California, United States, from 1 November to 2 November 2019.

For more information on who the National Committee are (and format of the tournament), head on over here, while those who are interested to design a logo for the Malaysian Overwatch team should head on over here.
