So Okami May Be Making A Comeback..
Guess we finally know the real reason why Ikumi Nakamura left Tango Gameworks & Ghostwire Tokyo; she’s going back to an old flame.
In this case, it’s a flame generated by wolf sun goddess Amaterasu. Just recently on Twitter, she and PlatinumGames director Hideki Kamiya teased a true Okami sequel.
Okami is going to be back! We want to make Okami sequel and fans are looking forward to it too. You guys want to see Kamiya’s Okami again, right, everyone? I want to work on it too! ?????????????????@CapcomUSA_ @OKAMI_CAP pic.twitter.com/bLwuGnTew1

The two of them, who worked on one of the PlayStation 2’s best games ever, now teaming up again. The tweet might be a litmus test on whether people are clamouring for an Okami sequel, tagging Capcom and throwing the ball in their court. If they refuse, they look like the bad guys; not a wise move considering their winning steak with the Resident Evil 2 Remake, Devil May Cry 5, and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
The last sequel Okami got was Okamiden for the DS. It was, for lack of a better term, cute. Look, it’s been 13 years since the very first Okami, so pardon us if something like this is whipping us into a frenzy.
