16 Years Later, We’re Getting A New Alien Hominid

Castle Crashers developer The Behemoth have announced their fifth game, Alien Hominid Invasion, which is described as a “re-imagining” of the 2004’s Alien Hominid.

According to the brief announcement trailer, Alien Hominid Invasion will be a co-op arcade shooter, likely in the vein of past entries in the series. The developer promises more information to be revealed at PAX East 2020, which runs from 27 February to 1 March 2020, and EGX Rezzed 2020, which runs from 26 to 28 March 2020 in London.

Alien Hominid Invasion will be playable at both events mentioned above, which probably means that the game has been in development for a while now. It may even get a 2020 release date, but all we know right now is that the upcoming game will launch on unspecified consoles and PC.

It’s been a whopping 15 years since the first Alien Hominid, so it’s no wonder that the folks at The Behemoth wanted to return to their very first game after such a long time. It should also be noted that Alien Hominid Invasion will be the developer’s first-ever sequel or follow-up of sorts.
