The Surge 2’s First Major DLC Comes Out Next Week

When it comes to Souls-likes, The Surge series have always been one of the more obvious clones in the sub-genre. With the release of The Surge 2, it’s becoming clearer that the series is its own thing and for fans of the game, more is coming your way.

The Surge 2‘s first DLC titled Kraken will be released on 16 January 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Those of you who bought the Season Pass can start playing it two days earlier on 14 January 2020.

Kraken features an entirely new location which looks to be like some sort of suburbia neighbourhood. The interesting part is that it’s located on top of a decommissioned aircraft carrier. Expect to face robot pirates, rogue security systems, and a new boss.

Of course, the DLC will add new weapons, armour, and implants. Unlike the other minor DLCs released for the game before, Kraken will feature new story content. Still, I’m pretty sure everyone’s just super excited for a new boss who will kill us again and again.
