Escape From Tarkov Breaks 200k Concurrent Players; Bans A Lot Of Cheaters
The hardcore-tailored battle royale title Escape from Tarkov had a pretty big closed beta week numbers-wise. Here are its stats so far:
- The game’s concurrent player record has been broken, reaching over 200,000 people online.
- The game has gone through its first progression reset, banning 3,000 cheaters in the process.
Just now, BattlEye has banned over 3,000 cheaters in #EscapefromTarkov. We decided that we will now let you know about large BE ban waves

The game wipe -common for games getting out of closed beta- paves way for a new patch and a start of a new season. Seeing as the game was in alpha since 2016 and seems to be getting a resurgence in viewers as of late, Escape from Tarkov could be the battle royale experience everyone’s looking for once they’re done with Fortnite, PUBG Mobile, Apex Legends, and even Call of Duty Warzone.
