Halo Veteran Joins Halo Infinite Team Despite Current Turmoil
By Alleef Ashaari|August 27, 2020|0 Comment
Halo series Joseph Staten has returned to the franchise and will work on the campaign for the upcoming Halo Infinite. The news was originally reported by Bloomberg, and Staten himself confirmed the move on his personal Twitter account.
I'm thrilled to join @Halo to help them ship Halo Infinite. As the project lead for the Infinite Campaign, I will be supporting the team's existing, great leaders and empowering them to do their best work. https://t.co/pQiNPQVBZs

Halo Infinite was initially planned to launch alongside the Xbox Series X in November 2020 but was recently announced to be delayed into next year.
Staten’s appointment heavily indicates that 343 Industries might be incorporating major changes to Halo Infinite. When he was at Bungie, he wrote the scripts and directed the cutscenes for the first three Halo games, as well as writing a novel based on the franchise. He then became the writer and creative director of the first Destiny before ultimately leaving Bungie in 2013.
In short, Staten is the perfect person to steer the Halo Infinite ship back on track. The question right now is how long the game will now be delayed.
