Southeast Asian Fighting Game Group Hosts Online Tournament Series This March
By Jonathan Toyad|February 22, 2021|0 Comment
Just because COVID-19 made sure offline events aren’t viable, it does not mean the end of the world for 2D fighting game tournaments featuring lots of combos and air-dashing. In fact, Southeast Asian fighting game group Airdasher SouthEast Asia will be hosting a series of tournaments next month.
The series is called Quarantine Quarterly and it’ll feature the best players across Malaysia, Singapore, The Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam fighting in a slew of games. Here are the list of games and their respective dates.
The tournament will also have a S$256 prize pool per game, with the top three players getting the majority of the handout along with some mystery prizes. Just keep in mind: all the tournaments will be running on PC versions (Steam) of each game. Tough Love Arena runs on browsers, so you don’t need to shell out money to buy it.
If this sounds like your cup of tea and you fancy some online 2D fighting action, sign up here. You can also sign up on their Discord channel to get updated on the group’s going-ons and future tournaments.
