Mass Effect Legendary Edition Runs At 120FPS On Xbox Series X
BioWare has revealed the framerate and resolution targets for the upcoming Mass Effect Legendary Edition on all consoles and platforms. The game will offer two modes: one that prioritizes visual quality and another that focuses on framerate.
Console players can toggle between two gameplay modes at any time on all platforms:
- Favor Quality prioritizes achieving the highest visual fidelity possible in exchange for a lower target framerate.
- Favor Framerate prioritizes the highest framerate possible by scaling native resolution and reducing some graphical features.
What’s interesting here is that the Xbox Series X is the only console capable of running the game at 120FPS. Not even the PS5 can do that, let alone all the other last-gen consoles. However, on PC, players will be able to hit up to a whopping 240FPS if they have a powerful enough rig.
Favor Quality
- PS4: Up to 30fps at 1080p.
- PS4 Pro: Up to 30fps at 4K.
- PS5: Up to 60fps at 4K.
- Xbox One: Up to 30fps at 1080p.
- Xbox One X, Xbox Series S: Up to 30fps at 4K.
- Xbox Series X: Up to 60fps at 4K.
Favor Performance
- PS4: Up to 60fps at 1080p.
- PS4 Pro: Up to 60fps at 1440p.
- PS5: Up to 60fps at 1440p.
- Xbox One: Up to 60fps at 1080p.
- Xbox One X, Xbox Series S: Up to 60fps at 1440p.
- Xbox Series X: Up to 120fps at 1440p.
