Alan Wake Remastered Leaked Via Epic Games Store

Epic Games Store data tracker Epic Games Data has uncovered a listing for Alan Wake Remastered and Final Fantasy VII Remake for PC.

This is interesting because elements of Alan Wake were featured in one of the DLCs for Remedy Entertainment’s Control. Plus, the publishing rights for the original Alan Wake reverted to Remedy Entertainment from original publisher Microsoft back in July 2019. In addition, Epic Games also announced a multiple game publishing deal with Remedy Entertainment back in March 2020.

Coincidence, I think not. With Control and Alan Wake now sharing the same connected universe, Remedy Entertainment will likely continue making games set in that aforementioned universe. Perhaps they’re even making a sequel to either Control or Alan Wake right now.

Control originally launched for PS4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store in August 2019, followed by PC via Steam in August 2020. We named Control one of the best games of 2019. You can also check out our review of the game here.
