[Report] FIFA 22 PC Is Limited To One System Activation
By Alleef Ashaari|July 14, 2021|0 Comment
Recently, EA officially announced FIFA 22. However, there seems to be something dubious with the PC version. Our friends at MP1st discovered that the Steam version of the game features a DRM that limits the game to a one-time activation. What does that mean?
Well, it essentially means that you can likely only activate FIFA 22 and play it on a single PC or machine after purchasing the game.

However, it could also mean that you’ll need to deactivate the game on one PC before being able to download and play it on another PC. This would be the same style employed by Microsoft for their Windows OS, which limits the number of machines single license will be able to be used on.
Fifa 2022 has DRM that allows you to install the game on only one PC.
And when you upgrade your Motherboard, CPU or videocard it probably sees it as a new PC too…
(It also lacks any kind of next gen features from the XSX/PS5 and runs the PS4 version instead)

While the aim of a DRM like this would prevent piracy or free sharing of the game, it’s still a bit frustrating for those who actually do purchase the game. As of now, all of this remains unconfirmed until EA officially releases a statement on the issue. Until then, stay tuned on Kakuchopurei.
FIFA 22 will launch for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC via Steam and Origin, and Google Stadia on 1 October 2021. In addition, there will also be a FIFA 22 Legacy Edition for the Nintendo Switch.
