Here’s your latest movie-to-game adaptation news: World War Z publisher Saber Interactive will be working with developer Illogika and Ep1t0me on A Quiet Place game.
The upcoming title will be a new single-player story-driven horror adventure with an original story that takes place in the same universe as the horror movie series; it won’t be directly based on the movie.
Here’s a blurb from the game’s press release:
“The amazing success of the A Quiet Place movies makes it clear audiences are hungry for more adventures in this universe, and Illogika is creating their own truly engaging experience that lives up to the name of this beloved property. We are proud to say that A Quiet Place is the first game we will be releasing by an external studio from the growing Saber publishing label.”
A Quiet Place came out in cinemas back in 2018, which follows a family struggling to stay alive on a farm while the world is being plagued by an invasion of sightless aliens with sharp hearing. The film is directed by John “Jim from The Office” Krazinski, and also stars him and his wife Emily Blunt. The film was so successful it spawned a sequel A Quiet Place Part 2.
The A Quiet Place videogame will be out in 2022. Here’s the website if you’re interested.
