Scriptwriter Behind Cowboy Bebop & Tokyo Godfathers Passed Away

Keiko Nobumoto, the scriptwriter known for her works in Cowboy Bebop, Wolf’s Rain (also its creator), and Tokyo Godfathers, has passed away on 1st December. According to anime writer Dai Sato’s public Facebook post, she lost in her battle against esophageal cancer. She was 57.

Her family held a private service on 4th December, with director Shinichiro Watanabe confirming her passing to anime writer Dai Sato.

Apart from the aforementioned masterpieces of anime above, she also contributed scripts for Space Dandy and Samurai Champloo. May she rest in peace.
