Activision Is Locked To Make Three More Call Of Duty Games For PlayStation

As you know, Microsoft has bought Activision Blizzard. In spite of potentially making most of the latter’s IPs exclusive to Xbox consoles, Microsoft will be honouring previously-made agreements to release Call of Duty games for PlayStation consoles.

According to Bloomberg reports, these include the next three Call of Duty games. These three CoD games will be out for PlayStation and Xbox consoles. After that, the series’ multiplatform future is hazy at best.

The CoD games in question are the Modern Warfare 2 reboot/remake from Infinity Ward in 2022, a new Black Ops entry from Treyarch in 2023, and Warzone 2 in 2023. Sony added that it expects Activision Blizzard games to remain multiplatform due to “contractual agreements” made prior to the massive buyout.

On a related note, we also spoke about the Activision Blizzard merger on BFM radio and called it first: Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 will be exclusive to Xbox consoles and PC when they come out.
