Konami To Move Ahead With Its NFT Plans
By Alleef Ashaari|February 4, 2022|0 Comment
Konami has announced that they will be moving ahead with their NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens) plans. According to the company’s latest official financial report, the reason why they will continue selling NFTs is for the purpose of preserving content.
The statement reads:
“We will also be selling NFTs in an effort to preserve content that has been loved by our customers as commemorative art.”
This decision is no surprise and is likely motivated by money more than anything. Why do we say that? Oh, Konami recently made a whopping US$162,000 from selling Castlevania NFTs. Yeah, instead of making new Metal Gear, Silent Hill, or Castlevania titles, the Japanese company would rather delve into NFTs.
Take that as you will.
