Bethesda Will Nuke Its Own PC Launcher On 11th May

Bad news to a small number of you using the Bethesda Launcher for your Doom Eternal and Skyrim experiences: Bethesda is shutting it down.

The company announced plans to nuke the Bethesda Launcher as it wasn’t really adored much by many users who would rather just play the company’s games on Steam or any other launcher. The company elaborated further about its sunsetting plans.

If you have games on the Bethesda.net launcher, you can migrate your games and wallet to your Steam account starting 27 April, which is a few days from now. Also, your Bethesda.net account will still be around and useable so don’t throw that away. More details and instructions will be laid out on that date.

“We expect almost all save progress to be transferable automatically or manually with the exception of Wolfenstein: Youngblood, which currently is unable to transfer.

For games that require it, you will still use your Bethesda.net login to sign in to play. Your Bethesda.net account will not be lost and will still be accessible on our website and in-game, and we will continue supporting all Bethesda.net accounts with our future titles.”

The launcher will still be up and running until 11 May. Even after that date, you can still transfer your games and wallet to Steam.
