Diablo Immortal Will Not Launch In The Netherlands & Belgium

Last week, it was announced that free-to-play Diablo Immortal has been delayed to 23 June 2022 for those in Southeast Asia, and 2 June 2022 for the rest of the world. However, it turns out that several countries won’t even be getting the game at all.

According to Dutch website Tweakers, the Activision Blizzard communication manager for Benelux confirmed that Diablo Immortal will not be released in the Netherlands and Belgium. The reason is due to “the current operating conditions for games in those countries”.

Both the Belgian Gaming Commission and Netherlands Gaming Authority have strict laws against loot boxes. Basically, the presence of loot boxes in Diablo Immortal is against the law in those countries. For more information feel free to check out their website and if you haven’t already you can still pre-register for Diablo Immortal at diabloimmortal.blizzard.com.
