Earth Defense Force 6 Invades Stores This 25 August In Japan

Publisher D3 Publisher and developer Sandlot announced that the sixth mothership Earth Defense Force game will be out later in 2022, but in Japan first.

EDF6 will be out this 25 August for PS4 and PS5 consoles. The digital version of the third-person shooter sci-fi cheesefest will feature the full game, Season Pass, and other bonuses. First print copies of the game will include decoys of Hololive YouTubers Ookami Mio, Shirakami Fubuki, and Nakiri Ayame.

Check out the full trailer below. It tells you all you need to know about the game: shoot bugs and monsters bigger than you, third-person action, co-op, plethora of classes with different playstyles. Easy to pick up and appreciate if you want big dumb action games, though the US$80-ish price point is suspect. No English version of the game has been announced at this point in time.
