This New Wuxia RPG Looks A Tad Familiar To Octopath Traveler
Chinese developer Xiameng has announced a new game called Codename: Wandering Sword which is a pixel-based RPG set in ancient China.
The game’s story is about a young man who ends up becoming a wuxia under the Sect Leader of Wudang thanks to politics and backstabbing.

If you’ve played Octopath Traveler, Triangle Strategy, and other HD-2D Square Enix game, then you’ll recognize Codename: Wandering Sword’s art style. Good thing that term and technique isn’t fully copyrighted, otherwise the Final Fantasy company could sue. Here are the features that could set itself apart from other HD-2D Square Enix games:
No release date for Codename: Wandering Sword has been announced yet. It’ll be out for PC via Steam with English and Chinese support.
