God Of War Ragnarok Reportedly Delayed To 2023 [Update: Maybe Not]
Update (10/6/22): A Bloomberg report has stated that God of War: Ragnarok may be coming out this November instead, most likely to fill up the blank slate of triple-A releases for the end of 2022. Furthermore, developer Santa Monica Studio said that it has no plans to extend the story into a trilogy due to the length it takes to produce games of this scale.
Original story published on 9 June
It looks like God Of War Ragnarok might have been delayed to 2023. According to various European sources (via GameReactor Spain), the highly-anticipated game for the PS4 and PS5 has been delayed to next year.
However, let’s take all this with a grain of salt for now.
For months now, there have been rumours that Sony is planning to do a big PlayStation live stream presentation sometime in June 2022. That grows increasingly probable as the days go by. The last we saw of God Of War Ragnarok was back in September 2021, which is more than six months ago now (see trailer below).
Recently, God Of War Ragnarok was officially rated by Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee. That usually indicates, signifies or at least suggests that a release date announcement is going to happen soon.
