Batman & Spawn To Reunite In New Crossover For The First Time In Decades
At San Diego Comic-Con 2022 during DC’s Jim Lee and Friends panel, Todd McFarlane announced that there will be a new Batman Spawn crossover comic book one-shot written by him with art by Greg Capullo coming in December 2022.
The Batman/Spawn #1 one-shot comic will mark the first reunion of these two characters since 1994’s Batman/Spawn: War Devil by Doug Moench, Alan Grant, Chuck Dixon, and Klaus Janson, which will receive new reprints in November 2022. However, not much was revealed about the new crossover, but more details will probably be revealed leading to its release this December.

Capullo is no stranger to Spawn, as he was the artist on many issues of Spawn from 1993 to 2004, which is before he would eventually become more well-known for his Batman run with Scott Snyder. McFarlane, of course, is the creator of Spawn and one of the founding fathers of Image Comics.
