New Steam Update Makes It Easier To Claim Free Games & DLC

If you’re a fan of getting free PC games on Steam, this new app update will make it easier to do so (via Reddit).

The new Steam update makes building up your backlog pile in your Steam library a bit smoother, as it adds a blue Add to Library button to free games and DLC next to the usual green “Install Game”, “Play Game”, or “Download” buttons that usually appear. This lets you quickly add free content to your Steam library without starting the installation process. Previously, you have to start the installation process, making it a tad slow.

This new update also affects free DLC and add-ons for games, with examples including Dying Light 2 and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak for this year. Honestly, it’s a long time coming and any addition that makes filling your Steam library up a little easier is welcome.
