Peter Marrs Joins Dell As New Asia-Pacific President

Dell Technologies has announced that they’ve appointed Peter Marrs as the new president of their Asia Pacific & Japan region. He’s starting right away and will be taking over for Amit Midha, who’s decided to move on and pursue a new opportunity outside of the company.

He’s going to be leading the growth and development of the company’s technology portfolio in the Asia Pacific & Japan region. That includes countries like Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia. He’ll be based in Singapore and reporting directly to John Byrne, who’s the President of Sales, Global Theaters, and Dell Technologies Select.

Marrs has a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Lemoyne College. He’s got the education and experience to drive the corporate strategy and sales in the region.

“I’m excited to have Peter lead our business in this very important region. He has more than a decade of experience across APJ, and a deep understanding and appreciation for Dell’s customers and partners in the region. With his strong track record on delivering results, I am confident that Peter will help shape the future of Dell in APJ,” said Byrne.

“The opportunities in APJ are immense, and I’m thrilled to lead Dell business in the region,” said Marrs. “We have a talented team, strong portfolio of solutions and a culture that fosters innovation. We are well placed to help our customers and partners in APJ succeed on their digital transformation journeys, and drive our growth in the region.”

Marrs has been in the game for over 30 years and has spent a huge chunk of that time at Dell Technologies. In fact, he’s been with the company for 23 years and has held a variety of senior management roles both globally and in the region.

He’s been involved in both the enterprise and client businesses and has a wealth of experience in leadership roles in the Asia Pacific & Japan region. Most recently, he was the senior vice president of Data Center Solutions for the International business. He also served as senior vice president of APJ Enterprise Solutions, senior vice president of APJ Client Solutions Group, vice president of APJ Solutions Sales, president & general manager of Dell Korea, and executive director of Solutions Sales for ASEAN. To top it off, Marrs has a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Lemoyne College.
