House Of The Dragon Season Two Has Begun Production

Fans of Game of Thrones who loved the prequel series should be happy with this new tidbit from HBO.

HBO has announced that House Of The Dragon’s second season has started production, along with the first official picture from said season. It’s the Iron Throne, basically.

Here’s a quote from co-creator/showrunner Ryan Condal:

House of the Dragon has returned. We are thrilled to be shooting again with members of our original family as well as new talents on both sides of the camera. All your favourite characters will soon be conspiring at the council tables, marching with their armies, and riding their dragons into battle. We can’t wait to share what we have in store.”

The next season will feature two emerging directors B Welby and Ebele Tate to hone their skills for the show’s episodes. Season 2’s cast includes Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Additional returning cast include Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.

If you need to catch up on your Targaryen dynasty drama and backstabbing showcase, you can watch House of the Dragon on HBO and HBO Go. Or just read our review here.
