New Secret Invasion Trailer Teases Marvel’s Darkest TV Series Yet

Marvel Studios and Disney+ have unveiled a new short trailer for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) series, Secret Invasion.
Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn will return as the Skrull warrior Talos, Don Cheadle is back as James “Rhodey” Rhodes, Cobie Smulders returns as Maria Hill, plus Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Olivia Colman also star. Kyle Bradstreet serves as executive producer and writer.
The trailer also features Don Cheadle’s James ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes, Martin Freeman’s Everett Ross, and Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill.
In the series, Fury returns to Earth and teams up with Talos to prevent a Skrull invasion. Emilia Clarke plays a character named G’iah, who is the daughter of Talos (a younger version of the character actually appeared in 2019’s Captain Marvel). Meanwhile, Kingsley Ben-Adir plays the main antagonist, whose name is Gravik. In the trailer, it looks like he has some kind of super ability (by extending his hand into tentacles).
The synopsis reads:
“In Marvel Studios’ new series ‘Secret Invasion,’ set in the present day MCU, Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.”
Marvel’s Secret Invasion premieres on Disney+ Hotstar on 21 June 2023.
