The Five Nights At Freddy’s Movie Will Be Out This October

Horror fans, unite! The game that popularized murderous Chucky Cheese restaurant-like killer machines and jump scares in gaming in the last few generations is getting a movie done.

And it’s got a release date too: 27 October. The show is being produced by Blumhouse, known for its cheap brand of horror films that mostly do well.

The show is directed by Emma Tammi, and written by the trio of Scott Cawthon (the game series’ creator), Emma Tammi, and Seth Cuddeback. The film stars Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, and Matthew Lillard of Scream & Scooby Doo fame.
