Blade Runner 2033 Labyrinth Game Announced For Consoles & PC
During its annual showcase for 2023, Annapurna Interactive announced Blade Runner 2033 Labyrinth for unspecified consoles and PC (via Steam). It is notable for being the publisher’s first-ever internally developed game. However, there is currently no release date or release window for the game.
Blade Runner 2033 Labyrinth is the first game in the franchise in 25 years. The original Blade Runner directed by Ridley Scott premiered back in 1982, while the sequel, Blade Runner 2049, came out in 2017 (check out my review of that movie here).
Set between the original 1982 movie and 2017’s Blade Runner 2049, Blade Runner 2033 Labyrinth takes place after the events of the Black Out and asks: what does a Blade Runner do when there are no Replicants left to hunt? There are no other details about what kind of game it will be, except that it will be a cyberpunk 3d adventure.
In the meantime, head on over here for my interview with Blade Runner’s Rick Deckard himself, the legendary Harrison Ford.
