By Xandria Morden|June 8, 2023|0 Comment
The school-life tactics RPG, Demonschool which has hints of Persona, Shin Megai Tensei, and Italian horror cinema from developer Necrosoft Games and publisher Ysbryd Games have unveiled a new boss battle earlier today at the Guerilla Collective Showcase.
You play as college freshman Faye, the last legendary family line of demon hunters. Forge friendships and relationships with classmates, build out a schedule to balance skill-building study sessions with investigations, and slay demons in a fast-paced tactical combat inspired by genre classics like Into the Breach.
Grab the remote for Demonschool’s latest boss – a towering pile of CRT televisions! Tune in and watch out for retro static attacks and falling TVs descending on Faye and her classmates. Combat them with new special attacks and battle strategies.
Today’s new trailer showcases never-before-seen allies including the professional powerlifter Ti and Kestrel, Faye’s sassy, poised rival. Watch out for nefarious entities crossing Faye’s path. Create monster-killing combos with Ti’s multi-directional knockback and Kestrel’s graceful pressure point strike. Boost the group’s bond by planning out team attacks
Explore a colorful, dimension-drifting island inspired by ‘60s and ‘70s Italian horror films and manga aesthetics before it’s overtaken by a 3D demonic hellscape. Vanquish hellspawn in intuitive, context-based tactical combat. Plan attacks, then execute them all at once in a showy display of skills. Set up powerful combos for devastating elemental attacks, and rewinding actions as needed to form the perfect plan.
Demonschool prepares for a spooky semester on PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, and Steam Deck in 2023.
