Baldur’s Gate 3’s First Major Update Is Here & It’s Too Long To List In A Steam Post
Larian Studios has released the first major update for Baldur’s Gate 3 (Version Number: 4.1.1.3669438) and it’s now live. It’s so big that the full patch notes are too long for a blog post on Steam, which is incredible. However, the full patch notes are available on the Larian Studios forums here.
There are apparently over 1000 bug fixes and improvements in the new Baldur’s Gate 3 update. One of the new improvements is that the developer has improved kissing contact for shorter characters like players who have chosen to play as dwarves or halflings.
The developer also confirmed that the next major update for Baldur’s Gate 3 is already on its way. They also revealed that the most popular class choice is currently Paladin, followed by Sorcerer, while the award for the least popular class goes to Cleric. Human and Elf characters reign supreme in Faerûn, followed swiftly and unsurprisingly by Half-Elf. On the opposite end of the spectrum, we find Dwarf, Gnome, Githyanki, and Halfling.
Baldur’s Gate 3 launched for PC and Mac via Steam and GOG on 3 August 2023 and is slated for PS5 on 6 September 2023. An Xbox Series X/S version will arrive sometime later in 2023.
In the meantime, check out my review of Baldur’s Gate 3 after more than 100 hours of playtime (at the time of writing).
