Soulframe Demo Gameplay Debuts at Tennocon 2023

Soulframe was announced at last year’s Tennocon 2022. This year’s Tennocon finally revealed gameplay of what Soulframe will look like.

The title is likened to a “reflection realm” of Warframe. While certain aspects like procedural dungeons may resonate with fans of the sci-fi shooter, there’s a distinct contrast. The focus on Soulframe shifts to deliberate melee combat set in a fantasy ambiance, creating a unique atmosphere unlike its counterpart.

Soulframe will take place on a single, large open-world area known as Midrath Island. Brief look at Soulframe’s RPG mechanics reveals a streamlined three-stat system. This system revolves around three Virtues: Spirit, Grace, and Courage, offering players the means to personalize their Envoy’s gameplay approach. These Virtues are entwined with Pacts, akin to adaptable classes that can be swapped instantly (eliminating the need to change Warframes, for instance). Additionally, Souls—skills acquired as more ancestors are collected—further enhance the gameplay experience.
