Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series Sold More Than 3 Million

Square Enix has announced the sales number of its retro game cash grab: the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection of games.

The collection of games, which features FF games from parts 1 to 6, has surpassed 3 million units worldwide. The company announced back in May that the total sales had surpassed 2 million units. This means that it sold an additional 1 million units within 3 months. This may have a lot to do with the release of Final Fantasy XVI, with people wanting to relive the good old days of turn-based JRPGs with pixel art but don’t have an NES or SNES console and respective cartridge(s) handy.

The FInal Fantasy Pixel Remaster are available as separate purchases/downloads and as physical collections. The series feature the following games:

  • Final Fantasy I
  • Final Fantasy II
  • Final Fantasy III
  • Final Fantasy IV
  • Final Fantasy V
  • Final Fantasy VI

All six titles are available for PC, iOS, Android, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
