Capcom To Drop An Unnannounced Title Before March 2024

So Capcom’s cooking up a big surprise for us all as a statement has emerged that they’re gearing up to drop a major game expected to hit the shelves before March 2024. Unfortunately, we have no details as to what this title may elude to, in terms of IP.

This info comes straight from a recent Q&A session on Capcom’s official Japanese site which was hosted alongside their latest earnings report. They’re eyeing this mystery title as a way to hit those sales targets before the fiscal year wraps up.

Now, we’re all curious about what this secret game might be. The gossip mill suggests it could be something linked to their heavy hitters – you know, Resident Evil or Monster Hunter. With the finish line for big gaming events approaching before March 2024, some folks reckon this new game might make its grand entrance at The Game Awards in December.

Capcom’s been on a winning streak, aiming for their 11th year of increased income. Their pockets have been jingling, especially with Street Fighter 6, which smashed past 2.47 million units since it dropped in June.

The Resident Evil 4 remake is also still making waves, selling an additional 1.66 million copies this fiscal year, reaching a grand total of 5.45 million sales since its March release. Capcom’s cash cow, Resident Evil, has now trotted past a whopping 150 million sales.

Adding some spice to the mix, Capcom launched Exoprimal, a fresh game in July for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Though it hit Game Pass right off the bat for both console and PC, sales clocked in at under 940,000 copies by the end of September.
