Prime Video’s Fallout TV Series Comes Out Of The Vault In April 2024
Prime Video has announced that the live-action Fallout TV series will premiere on 12 April 2024.
Starring Walton Goggins, the series takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland in the year 2077. Citizens must live in underground bunkers to protect themselves from radiation, mutants and bandits after nuclear annihilation. The story begins in Vault 33, one such bunker that is a prominent setting in the video games. The “Fallout” show will also take place in the official canon of the games.
The series cast includes Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight), Aaron Moten (Emancipation), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Sarita Choudhury (Homeland), Michael Emerson (Person of Interest), Leslie Uggams (Deadpool), Frances Turner (The Boys), Dave Register (Heightened), Zach Cherry (Severance), Johnny Pemberton (Ant-Man), Rodrigo Luzzi (Dead Ringers), Annabel O’Hagan (Law & Order: SVU), and Xelia Mendes-Jones (The Wheel of Time).
Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serve as executive producers, writers and co-showrunners. Nolan and Joy executive produce via Kilter Films under their Amazon overall deal. Athena Wickham of Kilter Films also executive produces along with Todd Howard for Bethesda Game Studios and James Altman for Bethesda Softworks. Amazon and Kilter Films produce in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks. Nolan directed the first three episodes of the epic series.
The series will also feature the franchise’s iconic Power Armours. The Fallout series was originally announced all the way back in 2020.
