The conclusion of Day 2 at the M5 Wild Card featured remarkable comebacks known as reverse sweeps by Team Lilgun and Niightmare Esports in their respective matches.
In Match 5, Team Lilgun faced Imperio, who had both secured victories on the opening day. Imperio initially took the lead with a crucial wipeout in the fifteenth minute, winning the first game. However, Team Lilgun responded strongly, increasing their aggression in games two and three, securing convincing victories and ultimately winning their second match of the series.
In Match 6, Team Falcons and Niightmare Esports went head-to-head. The first game was closely contested, but Niightmare Esports took control after winning a crucial teamfight in the tenth minute, leading to a snowball effect and securing the victory. Technical issues caused a pause, allowing Team Lilgun to regroup. When the second game resumed, Niightmare Esports, fueled by Sosoul’s Lylia dominating the mid-lane, attacked aggressively, winning the second game and subsequently completing the reverse sweep by securing the third game and the overall match.
Matches 7 and 8 were postponed to Day 3, leaving Group A highly competitive with Team Falcons, Niightmare Esports, and Team SMG all tied with one win each. In Group B, Team Lilgun leads the table and is likely feeling confident about their prospects.
