Tekken 8 Adds Zafina, Alisa, Lee Chaolan, and Devil Jin To The Mix

Bandai Namco has revealed four new characters for its upcoming 3D fighting game Tekken 8.

Wait, I meant “new”, as these are characters that have previously appeared in past Tekken games. They are Zafina, robot girl Alisa Bosconovich, Lee Chaolan sporting a brand-spanking new look, and Devil Jin. This now puts the revealed cast of Tekken 8 to 30 fighters so far.

The trailer below (via IGN) announces 5 returning legends, one of them being Panda, but she has been revealed in snippets in past trailers during the Tokyo Game Show 2023 period. Speaking of returning characters, the trailer showcases bits and pieces of their Rage Arts, with Zafina’s being the most noteworthy one as she summons Azazel’s hand to crush her opponent. Tekken 8’s becoming a lot more anime than usual for a 3D fighting game.

We also get dates for the next few reveals: the second last character is on 2nd November PST while the last is on 12th November. It seems like we’re getting 32 fighters in the base roster, unless we get more surprises.

Tekken 8 will be out for PC and consoles on 26 January 2024.
