The Boy And The Heron Malaysia Release Date Delayed To Mid December

Encore Films Malaysia has announced that the next Studio Ghibli anime movie, The Boy And The Heron, will premiere in Malaysian cinemas on 14 December 2023. It was delayed from its original premiere date of 30 November 2023.

The synopsis reads:

After the disappearance of his mother in a fire, Mahito, an 11-year-old boy, has to leave Tokyo to live in the countryside in his mother’s hometown. They move with his father into an old mansion on a large estate where he meets a grey heron who progressively becomes his guide and helps him through his discoveries and questions to understand the world around him and unravel the mysteries of life.

A masterpiece by the Academy Award®-winning director, Hayao Miyazaki.

The distribution of the movie “The Boy and the Heron” in Malaysia will be handled by Encore Films Malaysia, a reputable distributor known for distributing various films in the country, including The Tunnel To Summer, The Exit Of Goodbyes, Suzume, and Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween.
