EVO Japan 2024 Games Lineup Announced
EVO Japan 2024 game lineup has officially been announced. With registration commencing, Some of the best fighting game players in the world will come together to fight for a piece of the ¥14 million prizepool.
This year is a bit different as EVO has announced that they are introducing a participation fee to enhance the overall quality of content and tournaments.
It’s important to note that EVO Japan 2024 has received certification for compliance with the Participation Fee Collection Tournament Guidelines by the Japan eSports Union (JeSU), aligning with legal requirements. Consequently, maximum participant limits have been set for each title’s qualifying tournament. While EVO aims for sufficient participation slots, it’s advised to register well in advance, as there may be restrictions once the limit is reached.
The ticket purchase period extends until Friday, 15 March 2024 at 11:59 PM (JST), and the entry period until Friday, 22 March 2024 at 11:59 PM (JST). Note that a player ticket must be purchased by Friday, 15 March 2024 for entry.
The main titles featured in the tournament include Granblue Fantasy: Versus -Rising-, Guilty Gear -Strive-, The King of Fighters XV, Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike –Fight for the Future, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes.
