Assassin’s Creed Mirage Finally Adds Permadeath Mode In New Update

Ubisoft released a sizeable update for Assassin’s Creed Mirage that includes the long-awaited permadeath mode called Full Synchronisation Challenge, included in Update 1.0.7.

This mode presents players to embark on a permadeath run throughout the entire game, with the consequence being that the game will end if the main character Basim, dies or engages in any illegal actions, such as harming civilians. The game will also conclude if the player is discovered outside of designated map areas, regardless of the duration of their progress, whether it be 20 minutes, five hours, or two weeks.

Once you enabled the permadeath, it cannot be disabled. Moreover, the game’s cross-progression and cloud saves will become unavailable. Upon death, you will get a stats screen showing your total gameplay time, number of fights, cause of death, enemies killed and chosen difficulty. Players can choose their difficulty options in trying out the Full Synchronisation Challenge.

Completing the game in this mode entitles players to various rewards, such as emblems for easy mode and normal mode, an emblem and a Rayhan costume for normal mode, and six new dyes for existing outfits (Initiate, Zanj Uprising, Abbasid Knight, Hidden Ones, Rostam, and Bayek) in hard mode.

Alongside the permadeath, the new update also features some bug fixes, and a new easter egg. Ubisoft has left a hint saying “??We added a surprise easter egg to the world, a new special assassin that you might meet purrusing the streets. Be sure to snap a photo if you meownage to find them!”

The 1.0.7 patch is available to download for free. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is out now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
