Sonic Superstars has added another brand-new free DLC costume. This latest one puts Sonic the Hedgehog in a Shadow costume, rather than transform him into the other character. It is available for all platforms and can be downloaded for free on both consoles and PC.

Since its release in October 2023, Sonic Superstars has received ongoing support through DLC content. These additional outfits aim to provide players with new ways to customize their characters. This latest costume is inspired by the upcoming Sonic x Shadow Generations game, which is scheduled to be launched in Autumn 2024.

The Sonic x Shadow Generations remaster is an updated version of the 2011 original, which re-releases the old title on brand-new platforms after initially being available only on PS3 and Xbox 360. This remaster includes updated graphics and 60 FPS across all platforms, providing a seamless gaming experience. Shadow the Hedgehog, takes centre stage in a brand-new story campaign, where he faces off against old adversaries.

The add-on is not included in the patch or official update. In order to download it, you need to visit the eShop, PlayStation Store, Steam, or Xbox Store. Once it is downloaded, it will be available as an option when selecting your character in-game. For example, if you select Sonic as your character, you can choose the Shadow outfit as your add-on.
