Unicorn Overlord New Gameplay Trailer Unveils Class Promotions
By Ali'sha Harris|February 15, 2024|0 Comment
SEGA and Atlus, alongside developer Vanillaware, have released another gameplay trailer for Unicorn Overlord. This latest trailer offers valuable insights into how players can enhance their troops and turn them into a formidable force.
The 3-minute video delves into how players can enhance their army using class promotions and training. It begins with a scene depicting Prince Alain being trained under the tutelage of the Holy Knight Josef. The video then highlights the concept of assigning different classes to each character within the army. It emphasizes how tailoring the forces to meet the specific circumstances will enhance their chances of winning. As players progress through the quests and accumulate Honors, they have the option to allocate these funds to promote the units of their choosing.
The trailer provides a specific example, showcasing how Swordfighter Giselbert’s class can be transformed from Swordfighter to Swordmaster after utilizing 30 Honors. Advancing a character to an advanced class will yield enhanced stats and the acquisition of new skills. Furthermore, reaching the rank of High Lord will also grant players the ability to navigate the map swiftly while riding their steed.
Players will have the opportunity to engage in additional challenges known as Auxiliary Stages. These battles involve Sigils of the Ancients and present players with opportunities to engage in combat. The video demonstrated one such Auxiliary Stage, specifically called The Sigil’s Trial, Beginner 1. These battles offer players the chance to earn experience and can be repeated.
Additionally, the video showcased a reward that could be obtained from these fights: a Treatise. This reward, such as the Novice Military Treatise item, grants a minimum of 50 EXP to a unit when used.
Unicorn Overlord will be out for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on 8 March 2024.
