Helldivers 2 PlayStation Network Login Requirements Scrapped

PlayStation will not be moving forward with its 6 May update, which previously required you to link your PC Steam and PlayStation Network account beginning 30 May for Helldivers 2 PvEing.

Helldivers fans — we’ve heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward.

This also means that Helldivers 2 will be available in all countries if you’re playing the PC version of the game. Thus concludes the weekend hell Sony and developer Arrowhead Game Studios went through because of this kerfuffle. We’ll be updating our previous reports on Helldivers 2’s long week with this new info.
