James Gunn Reveals First Look At New Superman Costume

Superman movie director and DC Studios head James Gunn has revealed the first official look at the new Superman costume that actor David Corenswet will be wearing.

Superman stars Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern/Guy Gardner), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), David Corenswet (Superman / Clark Kent), Milly Alcock, (Kara Zor-El/Supergirl), Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as archaeologist Rex Mason AKA Metamorpho, and more.

Superman is slated to premiere on 11 July 2025.

According to Warner Bros’ official logline, Superman tells the story of Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.
