Bethesda, the renowned gaming studio behind iconic franchises like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, has announced the much-anticipated expansion for its latest sci-fi RPG, Starfield. Titled Shattered Space, this expansion promises to delve deeper into the universe introduced in Starfield, offering players a darker and more intense experience than the base game.

The announcement comes nearly a year after the release of Starfield, marking it as the first major expansion for the game. While Bethesda has not provided a specific release date, players can expect to explore the new content sometime in 2024.

According to Bethesda, Shattered Space will take players to the city of Dazra on House Va’ruun’s hidden homeworld, where they will confront a mysterious cosmic threat. This expansion will introduce a plethora of new content, including a new planet to explore, unique weapons, spacesuits, and gear, promising an all-new adventure for fans of the game.

In addition to the expansion news, Bethesda also announced a new update for Starfield, set to release today. This update will bring fresh gear and bounties to the game, providing players with even more content to enjoy while they await the arrival of Shattered Space.

Starfield, released last August, marked a significant departure for Bethesda, introducing a brand-new universe for players to explore. While the game has received updates since its launch, Shattered Space will be the first major narrative expansion, offering players a chance to dive deeper into the lore and mysteries of the Starfield universe.

I reviewed Starfield when it was released and I thoroughly enjoyed it, so much so that I gave it a perfect score. In hindsight, I do believe I overexaggerated with my rating, but I still stand by the fact that Starfield was one of my favourite games of last year.
