Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree Sells A Whopping Five Million In Three Days

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have announced that the Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion has sold five million units within its first three days of release.

Five million players, huh? So, imagine how many (in-game) deaths there’ve been… Impossible to count…

Kidding aside, Elden Ring was originally launched for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC in February 2022. The Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion launched on 21 June 2024.

Elden Ring is an action RPG depicting the worldview of George R.R. Martin, author of fantasy novel series such as “A Song of Ice and Fire,” and FromSoftware’s Hidetaka Miyazaki. With FromSoftware’s expertise in developing pulse-pounding, action-based titles, a vast world filled with adventure, and a high degree of freedom to explore, customers around the world have showered the game with praise for its unprecedented and overwhelming gameplay experience. Since its release two years ago in 2022, it has sold more than 25 million units worldwide.
