Lords of the Fallen Sequel in Development for 2026
Publisher CI Games and developer Hexworks have announced that the sequel to the Soulslike reboot, Lords of the Fallen, is in the works and slated for release in 2026.

This game serves as a modern reinterpretation of the 2014 Lords of the Fallen. The 2023 edition of the game achieved remarkable success, with sales hitting 1.3 million units within the first three months, significantly boosting CI Games’ annual revenues by a staggering 400%. Despite this financial upturn, the company faced challenges, resulting in the dismissal of approximately 30 staff members as part of a strategic reorganization that began in January 2024.
Undeterred by these setbacks, CI Games is moving forward with the development of the sequel. According to the financial report, Epic Games has reached an agreement for the exclusive PC distribution of Lords of the Fallen reboot sequel, bypassing Steam at its initial launch.
CI Games retains the rights to market the game on other consoles, including the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Although specific details about this anticipated sequel, currently dubbed “Project 3,” are scarce, CI Games is actively involved in several ventures, signalling a robust future for the franchise.
Lords of the Fallen is out now for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Epic Games and Steam.
